Popcorn is one of my favourite things to eat. I mean, everyone loves popcorn, right?.. This recipe was inspired by the oh-so-lovely Helena. We spent many beautiful years working together at The Coup. At every potluck we had, Helena would show up with the biggest popcorn bowl I’ve ever seen, filled with the most delicious savoury goodness.
Prep time: 5 mins
Serves 2
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup corn kernels (=10 cups popped corn)
- 1/3 cup melted coconut oil
- 2 tbsp nutritional yeast
- 2 tsp crushed dried sage
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp ground pepper
- A pinch of cayenne powder
Instructions
Pop your corn kernels*.
In a small bowl, mix all of the spices.
Place popped corn, coconut oil, and spice mix in a large bowl and mix well.
* I use a hot air popcorn maker, it’s a great investment! Stovetop popcorn would work as well.
For the best results, use a large bowl or container with a lid and shake it well!
