A delicious summery salad, featuring local produce – you can use your own garden greens or source them from a local farm, with the addition of beautiful Saskatoon berries..!

Serves 2-4
(nut-free optional)
Ingredients
- 2 cups kale leaves
- 2 cups fresh spinach
- 1/3 cup Saskatoon Basil Vinaigrette
- 1/4 cup Saskatoon berries
- 1/4 cup walnuts*
- A pinch of salt
- A few spruce tips (optional garnish)
* Substitute walnuts for pumpkin seeds for a nut-free option
Instructions
Wash and dry the kale. Remove the leaves from the stems, then tear the leaves into bite-size pieces. Place kale and spinach in a bowl and add dressing. Gently massage the dressing into the greens.
Top with Saskatoon berries, walnuts and spruce tips.
Sprinkle salt on top and enjoy!
