Packed with flavour, nutrients and antioxidants, Saskatoon berries are unique to western Canada, and western and north-central US. Saskatoons have been consumed by the indigenous aboriginals of Canada for their nutritional & medicinal benefits, and the name Saskatoon derives from the Cree word Misâskwatômina.
I love getting my Saskatoon berries from Our Family Farm, just outside of Calgary.
