Weekly Meals – Frequently Asked Questions

1. How do I place an order?

All orders are placed online. With today’s busy schedule, this gives you an opportunity to order at your convenience, any time of the day! To open a new account just click here and set up your account online, or continue as a guest. You can choose any of the items you like from our menu. Remember our weekly order deadline is Sunday at midnight to have your order ready for Wednesday.

Please double check your order to ensure that it is correct, and retain your automatic confirmation email after payment. This is your receipt.

2. How does delivery work?

Your food is prepared, packaged, labelled, and delivered right to your door on Wednesdays between 6:00pm to 9:00pm. When you order, please identify any specific delivery instructions. We will leave your food at a location of your choosing should you not be home.

Please ensure your address, delivery instructions, postal code and phone number are correct. If your delivery address is inaccurate and/or your delivery location cannot be found, your order will be donated to a food bank the next morning. Every effort will be made to locate you!

Once you receive your food, place it in your refrigerator or freezer as soon as possible to maintain freshness.

3. Is there a delivery fee?

There is a $12.95 delivery charge per order.

4. What if I need to change or cancel my order?

We do not process order changes.

You may cancel your order by the order deadline, Sunday at midnight, to receive a full refund.

We do not accept order cancellations past the order deadline.

5. Why is there a deadline for ordering?

Your food is prepared specifically for your order. Ingredients are freshly acquired. Preparation and packaging takes time and we wish to ensure that you are totally satisfied.

6. How do I pay for my order?

Your payment is processed through PayPal. You can pay with your PayPal account, or you can choose to pay with credit card. PayPal accepts Visa, MasterCard, and American Express.

Roni’s Kitchen at no time handles your credit card information directly.

7. Reusable bags?

When you receive your first order, it will come in one of our reusable bags. Please keep this bag and return it the next time you pick up your order or have it delivered to you. The first bag is on us, but if you lose your bag there will be a $3 charge for another one. If you are having your order delivered to you, and will not be home to receive it, please leave your bag in your cooler on your next delivery day.

8. How do I reheat meals?

Each item will have its own cooking instructions. Please follow them carefully. Most of our containers are compostable and only certain containers can be placed in the oven/microwave.

9. How long do our meals last?

We recommend that fresh meals are eaten within the first 2 days, but are generally good for up to 5 days. Please freeze items that you wish to enjoy later, and keep frozen items in the freezer until you are ready to defrost them for reheating purposes.

Frozen items should be consumed within 2-3  weeks for optimum freshness, but are good for up to 3 months in the freezer.  Frozen foods are best to defrost in your fridge overnight prior to reheating.

10. I have an allergy/food sensitivity

We offer a variety of gluten-free and nut-free options. Please note that our kitchen facility does process gluten and nut items. Although we have strict cross-contamination policies, we cannot guarantee a total absence of these products in our meals. We make every attempt to identify ingredients that may cause allergic reactions for those with food allergies. However, there is always a risk of contamination in our kitchen as we use products such as gluten, nuts and seeds. Customers with food allergies must be aware of these risks. Roni’s Kitchen will not assume any liability for adverse reactions from the food consumed, or items one may come in contact with whilst eating any of our meals.
